WHAT OUR STUDENTS ARE SAYING

"It is clear that Bruce and you are a great duo, with an enormous depth of knowledge, real sense of purpose, and a wonderful sense of humor, which are huge assets in a classroom. Your approach to green building is fantastic. After 32 years as a general building contractor, green building has re-invigorated me, provided inspiration to construct a better product (high performance building), and has given me a sense of preserving our environment. I thank you and Bruce for illuminating the path in such a way that has made the journey interesting and exciting. It has been fun to learn."

Longview Education Associates’ principals, Pete Gang and Bruce Hammond, have over 50 years combined experience and are leaders in their respective fields of sustainable architecture and residential and commercial building and design.

As seasoned professional, their perspective is guided by a deeply-rooted understanding of sustainability grounded in years of professional practice. They know that green building is more than a checklist of criteria and snappy new technologies crowding the airwaves and pages of current journals.

Longview Education Associates collaborates with other highly qualified experts in related building fields to offer in-depth education in the integrated suite of subjects and issues related to emerging technologies, historical precedents and a global perspective.

This macro-micro approach helps create programs that will guide us in assembling the building blocks for the next phase of civilization. This includes the beginnings of LEED certification.

Longview is an approved USGBC Education Provider. Our six-month program meets the requirements for the 400 Series Mastery Level, and is approved for credit toward LEED Professional Credentialing Maintenance.

Longview’s educational courses include:

Courses are designed for architects, engineers, builders, building owners, facility managers, manufacturers, educators, realtors, salespeople, community organizers and a wide range of others. Programs address core concepts and strategies that apply to both small-scale residential as well as large scale-commercial building.

Classes are held in the San Francisco Bay Area.
